My say to add ThaiPBS on BBC web page

ผมเปิดอ่าน web page 'http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/country_profiles/1237845.stm' ซึ่งมีเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับ 'Country profile: Thailand' ซึ่งกล่าวรวมเกี่ยวกับประเทศไทย ในความเห็นของ BBC ก็น่าชื่นชม เพราะถูกต้อง และผมเห็นด้วยแทบทุกประการ แต่ข้อมูลหนึ่งหายไป ซึ่งเป็นประเด็น รายชื่อสื่อโทรทัศน์ คือ ไม่มีรายชื่อของ ThaiPBS หรือ ส.ส.ท. ในขณะที่มีรายชื่อดังแสดงข้างล่างนี้

ผมจึงใช้เวลา เขียนแจ้งไปยัง BBC โดยหวังว่าคงได้รวม ThaiPBS รวมไว้ด้วย เพราะสมเหตุผลทุกประการ โดยได้เขียนไว้ดังนี้


A piece of information about Thailand media is missed on your web page. It is a pity that I have never watched BBC1 & BBC2 for ages. BBC sets such a high standard to the world of media. One of Thai media emerged recently to set a new high standard for Thailand. It is ThaiPBS.or.th. I'm very proud to state that this television media has no advertisement influence. BBC must know the importance of this big element of media quality! There are only 5 TV stations currently mentioned on the BBC web site page 'Country profile: Thailand' (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia- pacific/country_profiles/1237845.stm). My point is to have a piece of information of Thailand-proud TV media mentioned in the web page. I regard all the ThaiPBS programmes because they are for Thai community -- for the people, family, children etc. It becomes better and better media to serve Thais for the betterment of Thai society. Wishing more of the world to recognise the existence of ThaiPBS.

ทำไปทั้งหมด เพราะความชื่นชมใน ThaiPBS เพราะอะไร? ก็เพราะว่า เมื่อสื่อไม่อยู่ใต้อิทธิพลของเงิน หรือโฆษณา แล้ว สื่อก็สามารถแสดงความเห็นได้อย่างเต็มที่ รายงาน หรือให้รายการที่มีคุณค่า จริง เหมาะสม เพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนรวม (หวังว่ามีทุนดำเนินการเสมอไป!) หากท่านเป็นคนละเอียด จะแยกออกว่า สื่อที่อยู่ใต้ และอยู่นอกเหนืออิทธิพลของเงินต่างกันอย่างไร. โดยทั่วไป คนไทย เคยชิน คุ้นเคย กับสื่อที่ต้องการเงิน ดังนั้น เราส่วนใหญ่คงแยกไม่ออก. แต่หากท่านแยกออกแล้วละก็ ผมดีใจว่าท่านเป็นพลเมืองที่ดีของไทยได้ดีแน่. โปรดรู้ว่าทีวีของ U.K. ซึ่งคือ สหราชอาณาจักร แต่คนไทย (รวมทั้ง ราชบัณฑิตฯ) ยอมรับ และเรียกกันว่า อังกฤษ (ซึ่งผิด เพราะอังกฤษคือ England) นั้น มีสื่อโทรทัศน์ และวิทยุที่ไม่ขึ้นกับเงินมานานมากแล้ว ถ้าเป็นโทรทัศน์ก็มีชื่อว่า BBC1 และ BBC2 คือมีถึง 2 ช่องทีเดียว เป็นสถานีโทรทัศน์ที่สุดยอด เป็นเสาหลักของสื่อของโลกทีเดียว! คนไทยมี ThaiPBS แล้วในวันนี้ ดังนั้นต้องภูมิใจ ภูมิใจกันให้มาก
